ESG (Communist-Style Social Credit Scores)
Decades ago – as a child – my classmates and I memorized proverbs: “A stitch in time saves nine” carried the message: “Do not procrastinate.” Not only did learning and reciting proverbs build up our auditory memories and our vocabularies, it also taught us life lessons.
Remember: “Actions speak louder than words? I hope this one is self-explanatory nowadays. “Don't judge a book by its cover,” of course, means not to evaluate someone or something by its appearance alone.
“Birds of a feather flock together” seems under attack in this 21st century. Heretofore, it implied similar people spend time together. But, in this Woke Agenda, ESG attacks what we know to be true. ESG stands for the left's Woke Agenda: Environmental Social Governance.
For example, today we are seeing people selected for important government positions by their skin color, sexual orientation, sex (as defined by Random House College Dictionary) “either the male or female division of a species, especially as differentiated with reference to the reproductive functions.”
We have had Vice Presidential Candidates chosen for color and gender, a female Supreme Court Justice for similar attributes, even though she was as unable to answer: “What is a woman?” The head of Transportation chosen for his “alternate life style.” Merit is no longer an attribute by which someone is selected for a position, job, professional placement. Victim hood is placed on the altar of worship. Is this any way to run a country? Is this any way to run anything?
E (environmental) = no oil, no gas, solar subsidies
S (Social) = CRT, Pro Abortion, Transgender Activism
G (Governance)= employee racial quotas, compensation tied to ESG goals, Social Credit Scores
Investment houses more concerned with ESG, than making money? When one observes birds on telephone wires one sees a flock of bluebirds or a flock of black birds. If we adopted Woke-ism, there would have to be two blackbirds, two robins, two sparrows, etc. Every bowling team would have to have an MD, a PhD, a plumber, a sanitary engineer (garbage man), a butcher and baker, etc.
While not a proverb, “It's not nice to fool Mother Nature,” comes to mind. Why allow government to twist and change human nature?
In liberty,
