Martin County Budget Discussion

Martin County proposed a budget with a 14.4% increase over last year. That amounts to over an $80,000,000 increase. Yes, the proposed budget was over $600,000,000.

Over the course of three public hearings many people showed up and discussed the increase. This year many of our Republican members not only showed up but spoke truth about the increase. It was great to see the number of conservatives that voiced their opinions.

At the end of the final meeting Tuesday evening, the County voted to increase the millage .89%. This was much better than the proposed budget which would have increased the millage by 2.65%. Thanks to all of those who showed up and spoke up.
