The Fear of Success?
Once again the GOP is shooting itself in the foot.
Is the Grand Old Party suffering from achievemephobia (the fear of success ), an actual mental disorder?
The last so-called debate among the GOP contenders for the presidency was a complete sham, a sell-out of principal and a disservice to all Americans. As a party we tend to be committing suicide on a daily basis.
A sham because a former president and current party leader with an amazing record of solid conservative governance and a very strong everyday American following is berated, chided, and insulted by his own party members. These same Republican presidential wannabes promise to accomplish the very same things that President Trump has actually already accomplished. These people do nothing to unite the party but do a lot to give aid and comfort to the Democrats.
A sell-out of principal because the politically motivated, and in many cases illegally instituted, criminal and civil charges against President Trump were completely ignored. Not a single word from any one of the candidates or the ridiculous Fox News alleged debate moderators whose sole interest was in network ratings.
A disservice to all Americans because of the lack of any serious discussion about the ruinous, out-of-control spending and a shameful national debt that is literally destroying our way of life, our financial status as a world economic leader and driving ordinary citizens to a lower standard of living.
Every Republican candidate for president and every influential party leader should cease and desist all opposition to the Trump campaign. They should take full advantage of the very solid Trump political base and declare themselves open to the vice presidency in order to secure a 12-year run of Republican political leadership.
